Jesus’ birth would be for joy for all the people. Not only the Jews but for the Gentiles as well.
The Spirit of Joy
“And the angel said to them, ‘Fear not, for behold, I bring you good news of great joy that will be for all the people.” (Luke 2:10)
More than 2000 years ago the angels proclaimed the birth of the Christ child with their glorious songs of joy, and still today our songs of joy continue throughout the season in celebration of His coming!
“Joy to the world, the Lord is come.” “O come all ye faithful, joyful and triumphant.” “O tidings of comfort and joy.” This is indeed a season for rejoicing! As we sing the songs of Christmas, let’s remember why we sing – the Lord has come and brought us a great gift.
“These things I have spoken to you, that my joy may be in you, and that your joy may be full.” (John 15:11)
