Heart2Heart is an inter-denominational Christian ministry. We hold to the foundational truths of the Christian faith as taught in Scripture. While we recognize there are secondary issues on which sincere believers may differ, we stand united on the essential doctrines of the faith. We believe the Bible is our final authority for faith and practice.

The Trinity

We believe there is one true God eternally existing in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

God is one in essence and three in person. The Father is God, the Son is God, and the Holy Spirit is God—coequal, coeternal, and working together in perfect unity.

Supporting Scriptures:
Matthew 28:19; 2 Corinthians 13:14; John 1:1-2

Jesus Christ

We believe Jesus Christ is fully God and fully man, the only begotten Son of God and the Savior of the world.

Jesus was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, lived a sinless life, died on the cross for our sins, was buried, rose again bodily from the dead, ascended into heaven, and will one day return again in glory.

Supporting Scriptures:
Luke 1:34-35; John 1:14; 1 Corinthians 15:3-4; Acts 1:9-11; Mark 16:19

Salvation

We believe salvation is found only through faith in Jesus Christ.

All people are born sinners and are separated from God by sin. Jesus Christ paid the penalty for sin through His death on the cross. Those who repent of their sin and place their faith in Christ receive forgiveness, eternal life, and the indwelling presence of the Holy Spirit.

Supporting Scriptures:
Romans 3:23-25; Romans 6:23; Ephesians 2:8-9; John 14:6

Redemption and Restoration

We believe the redemptive work of Jesus Christ brings healing and restoration to every area of life.

Through Christ, believers are made spiritually alive and are continually being transformed by God’s grace. We believe God cares for the whole person—spirit, soul, and body.

Supporting Scriptures:
Isaiah 53:4-5; 1 Peter 2:24; 1 Thessalonians 5:23

The Holy Spirit

We believe the Holy Spirit convicts, regenerates, sanctifies, and comforts believers.

The Holy Spirit draws people to Christ, empowers believers to live godly lives, and works within them to produce spiritual growth and Christlike character.

Supporting Scriptures:
John 15:26; John 16:7-8; Titus 3:5; Galatians 5:22-23

Spiritual Gifts

We believe the gifts of the Holy Spirit are active and available today according to God’s will.

The Holy Spirit equips believers with spiritual gifts for the encouragement of the Church, the ministry of the Gospel, and the building up of the Body of Christ. We also believe the fruit of the Spirit should be evident in the life of every believer.

Supporting Scriptures:
1 Corinthians 12:4-11; Romans 12:4-8; Galatians 5:22-24

The Bible

We believe the Bible is the inspired, inerrant Word of God and our authority for faith and daily living.

Scripture was written under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit and is trustworthy, sufficient, and true from beginning to end.

Supporting Scriptures:
2 Timothy 3:16-17; 2 Peter 1:20-21; Psalm 119:105

The Great Commission

We believe every believer is called to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

Jesus commanded His followers to make disciples of all nations, proclaiming the good news of salvation and teaching others to follow Him.

Supporting Scriptures:
Matthew 28:19-20; Mark 16:15; Acts 1:8

The Church

We believe the Church is the Body of Christ and that believers are called to fellowship, worship, and grow together.

God designed believers to live in community with one another through the local church, encouraging one another in faith, prayer, worship, and service.

Supporting Scriptures:
1 Corinthians 12:12-27; Hebrews 10:24-25; Acts 2:42-47
