Landa Wheeler is a graduate of Lenoir-Rhyne University, where she earned a degree in Early Childhood Education. She currently serves as the lead fourth-grade teacher at Starboard Christian Academy in Denver, North Carolina, where she is passionate about nurturing both the academic and spiritual growth of her students.
In addition to her work in education, Landa leads Bible studies through her YouTube channel, LIVING.IN.THE.JOY, where she encourages women to seek Jesus for guidance in every area of life.
She also teaches a weekly Bible Study at Redeemed Baptist Church and is currently leading a moms support group out of her home.
Her desire is to help others live free and walk daily in the joy that only Christ can give.
Landa has been married to her husband, Pastor Alan, for 36 years. Together, they have faithfully ministered at Redeemed Baptist Church for 22 years. They are blessed with four children and nine grandchildren.
Landa’s greatest passion is teaching women and children about Jesus. Through her teaching and ministry, she strives to inspire others to grow in faith, experience true freedom, and live fully in the joy of the Lord.

Worship Leader

Madison Farnsworth grew up in church and has loved music for as long as she can remember.

She has an associate’s degree in music, with focus on voice and trumpet. Madison sings in her church choir and enjoys using her voice to serve and give praise to God. She loves a mix of music styles including classical, spirituals, modern music, and hymns.

Outside of music, she works as a paramedic and is a newlywed.

Guest Pastor

Pastor Wayne Willis graduated from Piedmont Bible College in 1969 with a Th.B. degree. In 1980 he completed the requirements for the M.Div. degree at Grace Theological Seminary, Winona Lake, Indiana. In May of 2023, he received a Ph.D. degree from Baptist Bible Seminary, Clarks Summit, PA. Pastor Wayne taught Bible and theology at Carolina University for over 25 years. 

Pastor Wayne has served as senior pastor of seven churches over a period of thirty-five years.

He and wife Alice met at Piedmont Bible College in 1964. They have been married for 56 years, have three children (one in Heaven) and eight grandchildren.

Pastor Wayne considers his family as the most important thing in his life second only to the Lord.

For relaxation he plays the guitar and likes to fish although he says he doesn’t get to do either as often as he would like.

Mikki Halbach has ministered to women as a speaker, writer, and small group leader for over 25 years. She is a co-founder and treasurer of Heart2Heart Women’s Ministry.  Mikki considers it a blessing that God uses her to minister to women, finding joy as the Holy Spirit stirs their excitement for His Word and grows their faith.

Mikki has completed substantial coursework in Biblical Studies with a concentration in counseling, which has equipped her with a strong foundation for ministry.

Mikki enjoys reading, cheering on her grandchildren at their sporting events, and spending time in the pool with her family—which she calls her “happy place”.

In 2011 , Mikki and her husband Fred returned to her hometown of Lexington, NC, where they attend Next Generation Church. Married for 35 years, they are blessed with three sons—Wyatt , Elliot , and Lucas—a daughter, Alex, and son-in-law Jake, as well as three grandchildren, Haven
Rae, Colt and baby girl Smith arriving in August.

Sandra Bivens Smith is a writer, small group leader, occasional blogger and speaker. In 2006 Sandra joined with daughters Mikki and Amy Jo to launch Heart2Heart. Now retired, she spends much of her time helping grow the ministry. Sandra loves to spend time studying God’s word and bringing bible studies to women. Her greatest satisfaction is to see women grow in faith and deepen their relationship with Christ as they gain greater knowledge of God’s word. Sandra is an active member of Faith Baptist Church where she serves as communications coordinator.

Sandra has completed six certificate courses in theology through Dallas Theological Seminary and is the published author of five Bible studies for women. These accomplishments reflect her commitment to biblical teaching and her desire to equip women to live out their faith with confidence.
Originally from Lexington, North Carolina but Sandra now makes her home in Charlotte with her husband Avon. Together they have five wonderful children, eleven amazing grandchildren and seven (soon to be eight) awesome great-grandchildren.
