“Keep Growing” by Keeping it Simple

We’ve all heard it – KISS – (Keep it Simple ……)

Diane made that saying real for us in our last lesson as she shared from God’s word how we can simplify our lives by following the example and instruction of Christ.

She challenged us with some thought-provoking questions:

  • How do I measure my life? (Luke 12:15)
  • Do I seek God’s kingdom first? (Matthew 6:25-34
  • Do I value the simple things of life? (Proverbs 15:16)
  • Am I content with what I have? (1 Timothy 6:6-8)

Diane wrapped up her message with some practical applications for us to follow:

  • Organize your schedule
  • Have a goal and a system
  • Cut out what you don’t need
  • Complete one task at a time
  • Have simple ideas
  • Clear out your mental clutter as much as possible
  • Release distractions
  • Learn to say “no”

Good advice for these busy days.

Keep Growing: “Keep It Simple S…..”?

Who couldn’t use a little more simplicity in her life?

In the next “Keep Growing” session Diane will share with us how we can make life less complicated if we will just put first things first.

PREVIEW “There are so many things in our daily lives that require our attention, our time, our resources, and our thoughts. We don’t need all the things we think we do. What we need is to keep life simple and put first things first”.

But godliness with contentment is great gain, for we brought nothing into the world, and we cannot take anything out of the world. (1 Timothy 6:6-7)
