What is something that we all need to help us keep growing?

ENCOURAGEMENT!

In her lesson from the life of David, Amy Jo reminded us that when we encourage others we not only bless them but we receive the greater blessing.

Amy Jo gave us 4 Encouragement Principles from God’s word:

1. It’s about what you get, not what you give. (Philippians 2:3-6, 4:17-18)
2. It’s about seeing in others what they could be, not what they are. (Judges 6:11)
3. It’s more about scripture than sympathy. Seeing the greater need. (Mark 2:15)
4. It’s more about God’s plan for others than for their immediate needs. (2 Corinthians 1:3-7)

In Wednesday’s lesson Sandra talked to us about God’s incommunicable and communicable attributes.

In the breakout session we had an opportunity to dig into scripture to learn more about those attributes and how we can apply them to our lives in ways that will help us grow.

No doubt most of us have heard discussions about God’s attributes, how they describe and define His character. But, did you know that He has both incommunicable AND communicable attributes?

In this weeks study we will learn about both the incommunicable and communicable attributes of God. We will discuss what they are, what they mean, how to apply them to our lives, and how doing so will help us to keep growing.
